DRAFT PROGRAMME

To mark the closure of the LIFE Programme “The Green Belt: a sustainable territorial planning proposal”, we have organised some European periurban seminars with the aim of reflecting upon and debating current issues affecting metropolitan agricultural spaces and to present initiatives on the preservation and development of these spaces. With the participation of European experts, these seminars are aimed at an interdisciplinary audience interested both in planning and management and social, economic and environmental issues.

To coincide with these seminars, a meeting of the Section for Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment of the European Economic and Social Committee will take place.

  • Periurban agricultural spaces: a growing territorial phenomenon
  • Management tools
  • Protection and management strategies
  • European institutions and protection and development policy
  • Projects carried out within the framework of the LIFE programme
  • Visit to the Baix Llobregat Agricultural Park
